I was with you at a fair number of the pre-1996 shows, I think. But interestingly, there appear to be a number of shows where we caught the same tour in different cities, ranging from Gillian Welch in the late 90s to Swell Season a few months ago. Spooky.

And ah, Pain of Life. Where are you now?

What was that guy's name? Earvin? The singer...? He was a nice guy, as I recall.

That Gillian Welch show was really special. I haven't kept up with her recently but "Hell Among the Yearlings" is one hell of a record. And I met her and David Rawlings after that show, got my copy of "Revival" autographed. Then we talked banjos. It was special...

Gillian Welch @ Town Hall in NY after Time The Revelator came out ranks as just about the best show I can recall attending. Glad to hear they're approachable too.
